Wynette Massey Foley, 70, of Carthage, passed away on Monday morning, Feb. 8, 2016, at her home. She was born on Dec. 1, 1945, in Conroe to the late Arthur Edward and Annie Mae Collier Massey. She graduated from Conroe High School with the class of 1964, and later graduated from cosmetology school. She married Danny Foley on Oct. 5, 1963, in Conroe and he preceded her in death on Sept. 10, 2005. Wynette owned and operated Wynette's All Family Hair Center in Carthage for many years and also founded Foley Rentals with her husband. She enjoyed oil painting, reading, and quilting and was a member of Carthage Quilting Club and the Pulpwood Queens Book Club, Jefferson Chapter. She also was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Wynette moved to Carthage in 1981, from Conroe and she attended Stillwater's Cowboy Church. Wynette was proudly called "Gran" by her six grandchildren that she cherished dearly. Wynette was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Vicki Lynn and a brother, Douglas Massey.

Survivors include her sons, Kie Foley and wife Marian of Carthage and Kip Foley and wife Stephanie of Nacogdoches; sisters, Inez McGee and Louise McGee and husband Clinton "Gink" McGee all of Conroe; brother, Wahren Massey of Conroe; sister-in-law, Cathy Gossett of Henderson; and grandchildren, Chelsea Lewis and husband Brandon and Danielle, Emily, Samuel, Noah, and Lydia Foley. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends who will greatly miss her also survive.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Matt Comer and Bro. Rick Linebarger officiating. Interment will follow at Willow Grove Cemetery near Joaquin.

Serving as pallbearers are Trent McGee, Terry McGee, Dennis Hyde, Roger Greer, Jay Greer, Wesley Develin, Robert Walker and Rick Ferguson.
