W.L. Hosmer, 86, of Henderson, TX passed away on Monday afternoon, Feb. 22, 2021, in Henderson. Winston LeRoy "W.L." Hosmer was born on Jan. 22, 1935, in Greenfield, MA to the late James L. and Eva Barnes Hosmer. Mr. Hosmer moved to the area in 1995, and worked as a truck driver at Allred Trucking in the Fair Play Community of Panola County, TX until his retirement. He was a member of Still Water's Cowboy Church in Carthage. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vicky Hosmer; a daughter, Earlene Hosmer; siblings, Bobby Cooper and Betty Davis; and son-in-law, Jimmy Holcomb.

He is survived by his children, Robin Hosmer of Turners Falls, MA, Bradley Hosmer of Colerain, MA, Cyndilee Barron and husband Rex of Henderson, Vicki Holcomb of Henderson, Tia Gronwald and husband Joe of Marshall, and Lucinda Smith and husband Jim of Marshall; brother, Dennis Cooper of Springfield, MO; sister, Darlene Looney of Cleburne, TX; special friends, Daniel Allred and wife Michelle of Fair Play and Guillermo "Little Brother" Rivera and wife Giovanna of Florida; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with John Henry Zabcik officiating. Interment will follow in Waldrop Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
