A memorial service for Wilma Fay Nation Baker, 59, of DeBerry, will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Baker passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2014, at her home in DeBerry.
Wilma Fay Nation Baker was born on Nov. 24, 1954, in Houston to the late E T and Ida Elizabeth Elliott Nation. She graduated from Galena Park High School with the class of 1973. Mrs. Baker married Wayne T. Baker on Oct. 26, 1974, in Houston. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved her horses and was affiliated with the local group of the PRCA and the Sabine Riding Club. Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, who passed away on Nov. 29, 2011.
Mrs. Baker is survived by two sons, Cory Baker of DeBerry and Chad Baker and Dena Mullens of DeBerry; one brother, Eddie Nation and wife Andrea of DeBerry; two nieces, Chelsea Adair and daughter Avery of DeBerry and Tiffany Monroe and husband Robert and their daughters, Abigail, Madalyn, and Mackenzie; sister-in-law, Martha Jo Loftis and husband Jimmie of Pearland; and step-grandchildren, Dylan and Lanie Williams. Numerous cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survive Mrs. Baker.
