Willie T. Sanders, 67, of Gary, Texas, departed this life on Wednesday morning, November 8, 2023, in Longview, Texas. He was born on April 12, 1956, in Carthage, Texas to the late Cleveland and Ruth Smith Sanders. Willie went to school at Southside Elementary and was a hard worker. At a young age, he attended Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church near Gary. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, James Sanders, Harvey Lee Sanders, Verna Ruth Sanders, and Steven Roger Sanders; aunts, and uncles.

Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Cleveland Sanders, Jr. (Gloria), Leo T. Sanders (Virginia), Bertha Beckworth, Mack Sanders, Floria Young, Billy G. Sanders (Telena), Barbie Sanders Palmer, Carolyn Rosborough (Michael), and Ebbie D. Sanders and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church near Gary. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery near Gary. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Rocky Hicks, Ebbie D. Sanders, Jr., Jermie Sanders, Damiun Hikcs, Josh Sanders, and Leo Sanders, Jr.
