Willie Robinson, 76, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Wednesday night, March 4, 2020, at his home near Carthage.  Willie Howard Robinson was born on June 14, 1943, in Carthage to the late Howard and Gracie Mae Allison Robinson. He attended Carthage Schools. Mr. Robinson married Ruby Nell Beck on May 26, 1962, in Center, TX. He worked for Bo Gray for over 20 years and then for Dependable Pressure Testers until his retirement from the in the oil and gas industry. He enjoyed gardening and loved to go to the casinos. Mr. Robinson lived most of his life in the Carthage area and was a member of Johnson Chapel C.M.E. Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Cedric Robinson and Willie Robinson, Jr.; grandchildren, Tynisha Robinson and KeKe Jones; and siblings, Oree, Goree, and Fred Robinson, John Ware, Helen Thomas, Ella Knox, and Linda Faye Alford.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Ruby Robinson; children, Vivian Williams (Danny), Michael Robinson (Sandra), Renalda Lewis (Preston), LaSwanda Williams (Kenneth), Corey Robinson, Cameo Robinson (Stephanie), and Brian Robinson (Ashley); siblings, Ella Williams, Dorothy Shannon, and Lindell Burrell (Marvin); 27 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Timothy Fagan officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hollands Quarter Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Lorenzo Beck, William Gatlin and Eddie Surall.  Honorary Pallbearers are Nicholas Williams, Trey Williams, Rynon Robinson, Teldrick Robinson, Jacoby Robinson, Boris Surall, Tranz Surall, Kennan Williams, Tremaine Robinson and Jacorrey Robinson.
