Funeral services for Mr. Willie Ed "Bill" Poss, age 93 of Nederland, Texas, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at Broussard's Mortuary in Nederland. A gathering of the family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Broussard's Mortuary on Thursday. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday in Antioch Cemetery near Carthage, Texas. Mr. Poss passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Cypress Glen in Port Arthur.

Bill was born on February 9, 1915 and was a native of Carthage, Texas. He had lived in Nederland since 1950. Bill retired from Unocal as an operator. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Nederland. Bill was preceded in death by his son, Billy Wayne Adams; four brothers; two sisters; and former wives, Edith Jewell and Zelma Poss.

Mr. Poss is survived by his wife, Bicy Poss of Nederland; son, John Poss and wife Linda of Pasadena, Texas; two daughters, Glenda Plumb and husband Jerry of Oregon City, Oregon and Nancy Normand and husband Ike Estes of Sugar Land, Texas; four step-daughters; and many other family and friends.
