Graveside services for Mr. William Henry Vincent, age 93 of Carthage, Texas formerly of Tatum, Texas, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Tatum Cemetery with Dr. William Everett officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Mr. Vincent's body will lie in state from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Vincent passed away on Sunday night, July 13, 2008 in Carthage.

William Henry Vincent was born on August 16, 1914 in Tatum, Texas to Mack and Ludie Free Vincent. He served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and was honorably discharged. Mr. Vincent owned and operated a dry cleaning business. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Carthage. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Vincent, who passed away on December 1, 2000.

Mr. Vincent is survived by two sisters, Zetta Katherine Butler of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Ollie Faye Duggins of Davis, Oklahoma; and one niece, Wanda L. Vowell of Charleston, Arkansas. Numerous friends also survive Mr. Vincent.
