Funeral services for Mr. William Lanny Chadwick, age 66 of Houston, Texas formerly of Panola County, will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Allen Tilley officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery near Carthage. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Chadwick passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2007 in Houston.

William Lanny Chadwick was born on February 25, 1941 in Carthage, Texas to Cleo Campbell and Willie Mae Ritter Chadwick. Mr. Chadwick graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston. He worked as a proof reader in the printing business for many years. Mr. Chadwick had lived most of his life in Houston and was of the Methodist faith. Mr. Chadwick was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Netta Virginia Yeilding.

Mr. Chadwick is survived by one brother, James Leon Chadwick of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Betty Lynn Taliaferro of DeSoto, Texas and Judy Yvonne Spriggs and husband James of Houston, Texas; two aunts, Olyene Johnson and Gladys Ruth Elliott both of Carthage, Texas; one brother-in-law, Ralph D. Yeilding of Houston, Texas; and a special caregiver, Esther Valderrama of Houston, Texas. Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and many friends also survive Mr. Chadwick.

Serving as pallbearers are Darren Spriggs, Michael Spriggs, Kevin Spriggs, Steven Spriggs, Chad Taliaferro, and Jerry Wagoner.
