William Benton Morrison, Jr., of Beckville, Texas, passed away on Wednesday morning, December 9, 2020, at his home in Beckville. He was born on February 14, 1942, in Baytown, Texas to the late William Benton Morrison, Sr. and Wanda Estelle Spears Morrison. Dub was raised in Corpus Christi, graduating from Roy Miller High School with the class of 1960. He attended the University of Texas at Austin where he earned a bachelor's degree in 1964. Dub worked for HEB Grocery as a general manager until his retirement. He married his wife of 30 years, Tamra Kay Mothershed, and together they had two boys, Morey and Milo. While Tammy worked, Dub took great care of all the household duties, including being a fantastic cook and shuttling the boys from one event to another. He loved watching his sons play sports and he also enjoyed playing golf in his spare time. The family moved to Beckville in 2004, from Corpus Christi and became members of Pine Grove Assembly in Beckville. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Bette Darrel Shirley.

Mr. Morrison is survived by his wife, Tamra; children, Bette Holifield, Benton Morrison, Melinda Morrison Watts, Morey Morrison, and Milo Morrison; and numerous grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are by Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
