A funeral service for Mr. Wilbur McDaniel, 65, of Riderville, will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bob Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Mr. McDaniel passed away on Monday afternoon, Nov. 30, 2015, at his home in Riderville.

Wilbur McDaniel was born on Aug. 17, 1950, in Sunflower County, Mississippi to the late Dewey and Etoy Dorman McDaniel. He married Virginia Carol Roberson "Jeannie" McDaniel on Dec. 15, 1968. Mr. McDaniel worked as an electrician until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the 4D Hunting Club. Mr. McDaniel was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Lance Corp. Wilbur Scott McDaniel, Jr. who passed away in 1989; a brother, and a sister.

Mr. McDaniel is survived by his wife, Jeannie; son, Bryan McDaniel and wife Torri; daughter, Amy Sanders and husband William; four grandchildren; Madison, Jaden, Ely, and Gunner all of Riderville; three brothers; and six sisters.

Pallbearers are Jimmy Evans, Jason Price, Rodney Taylor, Timmy Roberson, Kenny Holeman, Scott Martin, and Mac McDaniel. Honorary pallbearers are Ely Sanders and Gunner McDaniel.
