Weda Faye Griffin, age 94, passed away on Thursday night, January 12, 2017 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. She was born on November 22, 1922, in Gainesville, Texas, to the late Lee A. Atkinson and Sarah Pernelcia Pigott Atkinson. She graduated from Valley View High School with the class of 1939, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from North Texas State University in 1940. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kirven Oliver Griffin, on August 5, 2015.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
