Wayne Elliott, 78, of Beckville, TX, passed away on Saturday afternoon, Aug. 19, 2023, at his home in Beckville. Johnny Wayne Elliott was born on Sept. 13, 1944, in Shreveport, LA to the late John Tom and Edna Pauline Powell Elliott. He graduated from Beckville High School with the class of 1963, and attended trade school in Longview where he earned his electrician's license. Wayne married Angie Burnett on Aug. 19, 1966, in Beckville. He worked as an electrician for Crook Electric in Longview until his retirement. Wayne was a 50-year member of the Beckville Masonic Lodge #922. He loved his cows, fishing, and tinkering at the barn. Wayne enjoyed attending any sporting event involving his grands and was a die-hard Beckville Bearcat supporter. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Howard Elliott.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Angie Elliott; children, Tracie Elliott Wise and husband Nathan, Toni Elliott Nixon and husband Andy, and Terry Wayne Elliott and wife Jessica; sister, Sue Goehring and husband Lonnie; sister-in-law, Linda Elliott; grandchildren, Braden Wise and wife Madi, Taylor Lindsay, Trey Lindsay, James Nixon, Tristan Nixon, Haley Nixon, Tanner Elliott, Sophie Elliott, and Jackson Elliott; and great-grandchild, Hudson Wise. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends also survive.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2023, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Carl Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Harris Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. The family request that you wear your Beckville blue and jeans as if you were going to a Bearcat sporting event. Go Blue!!!

Pallbearers are Ricky Elliott, Braden Wise, James Nixon, Jackson Elliott, Trey Lindsay, Nathan Wise, Andy Nixon, and Tanner Elliott.
