Wanda Lou Weatherford Robinett, 61, of Long Branch, passed away on Monday morning, Feb. 22, 2016, in Carthage. She was born on Sept. 23, 1954, in Lindale to the late Phenix Columbus and Virginia Lela Green Weatherford. She graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1973. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Carthage. She loved to travel around the U.S. and worldwide. Her favorite place she traveled was to Ireland. She married the love of her life, Jackie Louis Robinett on June 9, 1973, and was married for 39 years, 7 months, 1 week, and 3 days before he preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her sister Virginia Evalena Dodson.
Survivors include her son, Justin Robinett; sister, Judy Smith; brother, Billy Jay Weatherford; sister-in-law, Gail Waits and husband Roy; numerous nieces, nephews, and many life-long friends worldwide.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016, at Clayton Cemetery with Dr. Allen Tilley officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Beau Davis, Lance Duvall, Aaron Mills, Jarrod Wedgeworth, Roy Lee Waits, II, and Orin Hatfield.
Honorary pallbearers are Joseph Beaty and David Thompkins.
