Funeral services for Mrs. Wanda Blue, age 51 of DeBerry, Texas, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Don Cocklin, Brother Gary Palmer, and Brother Hal Rymel officiating. Interment will follow in DeBerry Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Blue passed away on Saturday afternoon, April 19, 2008 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Wanda Sue Strong Blue was born on October 4, 1956 in Center, Texas to T.W. and Betty Davidson Strong. Mrs. Blue had lived in Panola County most of her life and was a member of the First Christian Church in Carthage.
Mrs. Blue is survived by her husband, Charles Blue of DeBerry; father, T.W. Strong of Carthage; mother, Betty Strong of Carthage; two daughters, Angela Foster and husband Robert of Marshall and Christi Thompson and husband Samuel of Marshall; one brother, Tommy Strong of St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters, Kathy Copeland of Carthage and Jennifer Born and husband Michael Dean of Carthage; and five grandchildren, Kristen, Kalie, Lauren, Andrew, and Elijah. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends also survive Mrs. Blue.
Serving as pallbearers are Richard Alane Brown, Autry Dean Brown, Dennis Lane Brown, Michael Dean Gary, Michael Austin Davidson, and Robert Mitchell Davidson. Serving as honorary pallbearers are David Michael Daniel and Cory Charles Blue.
