A funeral service for Wade Hagan, 30, of Carthage, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dennis Landtroop and Bro. Charles Braneff, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Wade passed away on Tuesday evening, Sept. 16, 2014 in Carthage.
Jeffrey Wade Hagan was born on Apr. 16, 1984, in Pasadena, TX to Jeff and Donna Gilbert Hagan. He graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 2002 and attended Panola College. Wade graduated from the Kilgore Police Academy in 2005. He enjoyed golf, baseball, football, especially the Dallas Cowboys, and absolutely loved NASCAR and Kevin Harvick. He lived his lifetime in Carthage and was a member of the Carthage United Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Gilbert.
Wade is survived by his parents, Jeff Hagan and wife Devonna of Carthage and Donna Dearman and husband James of Victoria; one son, Jakob Emerson Tate of Shreveport; sister, Jennifer Hagan of Voss; grandparents, Mason and Georgia Hagan of Houston and Barbara Gilbert of Lake Murvaul; step-sisters, Pamela Barlow and husband James of Houston, Stephanie Christie of Irving, and Lindsay Christie of Houston; and step-brother, James Born of Denton. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survive Wade.
Serving as pallbearers are Nathan Wheeler, James Born, Chris Champion, Shane Braneff, Ryan Hagan, Brian Horan, Sione Maumalanga, and Nick Chaney.
