Funeral service for Virginia Evans, 86, of Carthage, TX formerly of Winnsboro will be held at 11 AM Saturday June 2, 2007 at Victory Apostolic Church in Winnsboro with Rev. Wayne Smith officiating under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro, LA. Interment will follow in Providence Memorial Cemetery in Winnsboro. Visitation will be Friday from 5-9 PM at the funeral home.
She was born March 10, 1921 in Sicily Island and passed from his life Wednesday, May 30, 2007 in Carthage, Texas. Local arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
Mrs. Williams was a deeply devoted member of Victory Apostolic Church in Winnsboro for many years and retired as owner and operator of Country Kitchen Restaurant, in which she took pride in serving her customers for many years. She had a passion for horses, and was a loving mother and a doting grandmother.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Devon P McNease and Durham Williams; three sons Willie Von McNease, Kenneth McNease, and J.C. McNease; parents James Garland Evans and Margaret "Maggie" Estelle Rogers; six brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Williams is survived by nine children James Reece McNease and wife Mary of Lake Charles, George McNease and wife Virginia of Tallulah, Donald McNease and wife Bonnie of Farmersville, TX, Harry McNease and fiancé Dana of Shreveport, Darrell Williams and wife Shelisa of Carthage, TX, Wanda Abshire and husband Dan of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Patricia Scott and husband Don of Tyler, TX, Sally Sturdivant and husband Donnie of Crowville Shirley Ford and husband Johnny of Crowville. She is also survived by a brother Eugene Evans, sister Minnie Lee McNease, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mark Ford, Tony Grivit, Frank James, Doyle Wiggins, Tony Wiggins, and Wayne Wiggins. Keith Ford will serve as honorary pallbearers.
