Graveside services for Mrs. Virginia Sue Capps Masters, age 72 years of Carthage, Texas, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at Tatum Cemetery with Chaplain Sonny Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow the services under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. on Monday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Masters passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2006 in Carthage.
Virginia Sue Capps was born on March 10, 1933 in Tatum, Texas to Walter Capps, Jr. and Pearl Ferguson Capps. Mrs. Masters had lived in Carthage for 15 years moving from Ft. Worth. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Masters is survived by four daughters, Betty Brooks of Carthage, June Earp and husband Darrel of Azle, Peggy Wade and husband Jimmy of Carthage, and Georgianna Givens of Carthage; one sister, Bonnie Logins of Springtown; ten grandchildren, Steven Johnson and wife Andra of Cleburne, Jennifer Stephenson and husband Clint of Carthage, George Givens of Carthage, Karen Planas and husband Kevin of Timpson, Jeffrey Wade and wife Shasta of Carthage, Ann Klein of Carthage, Courtney Wade of Carthage, James Foster of Dallas, Chrystal Koonce of Carthage, and Richard Givens of Carthage; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Steven Johnson, George Givens, Jeffrey Wade, James Foster, and Richard Givens.
