Vincent Vernon, 53, of Lake Murvaul, TX, passed away on Wednesday morning, May 10, 2017, at his home. Vincent Norman Vernon was born on Dec. 23, 1963, in Great Lakes, IL to Norman A. and Darlene Irene Krajewski Vernon. Mr. Vernon graduated from Northview High School in Grand Rapids, MI with the class 1982. Vincent always told people he was born in Michigan but got to Texas as fast as he could. He married Marty Lawson on May 22, 1993, in Tyler, TX. Vincent moved to Panola County in 1996, from Tyler and where he owned and operated Showcase Systems. Whether it was at his business, pushing down trees, or digging in the dirt with his backhoe, Vincent was a workaholic by all accounts and loved being busy. He had a giving and kind heart and would always be the first to respond if anyone needed help. He enjoyed shooting his guns on his shooting range at his home as well, something we are certain his neighbors appreciated. Vincent had an infectious positive attitude, was always the life of the party, and loved telling a good joke or 3 if need be. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Clayton, TX.

Survivors include his wife Marty, of Lake Murvaul; daughter, Victoria Vernon Caylor and husband Bruce of Gary; brother, Von Vernon and wife Vivian of Longview; granddaughter, Kimber Caylor of Gary; nephew, Juston Johnson of Longview; favorite cousin, Marlyeann Ayers and husband Kent of Byron Center, MI; his mother, Darlene Reed and husband Cecil of Everett, MI; and father, Norman Vernon and wife Mary of Ionia, MI;

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dock Lazarine officiating. The family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
