Obituary
Graveside funeral services for Mrs.Venice Sowell Williams, 83, will be 11:00am Monday, November 19, 2007 at Magnolia Cemetery in Holly Springs. Visitation will be 4:30 to 8:00pm Sunday, November 18, 2007 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper.
Venice passed away Friday November 16, 2007 in Carthage, Texas where she had lived the past two and a half years. A native of San Augustine, she was a long time resident of Jasper.
She is survived by son Randy C. Williams of Quitman, MS; two daughters, Gail Allen of Venus, Texas and Jeannie Owens of Carthage, Texas; sister Hazel Rogers of Jasper; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons, Bruce A. Williams and Billy H. Williams.
