A funeral service for Mr. Tommy Scott, 66, of the Dotson Community, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dale Reed officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park near Carthage. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Scott passed away on Saturday night, Oct. 10, 2015, in Carthage.
Tommy Lewis Scott was born on Dec. 9, 1948, in De Quincey, LA to the late Albert Leroy and Erie Opal Brister Scott. He graduated from Vidor High School. Mr. Scott worked in the Oil Field Service Industry all of his life having owned Scott and Armadeero Enterprises. He married Charlotte Williams on Oct. 10, 2013 in Texarkana, Ark. Mr. Scott was an avid bass fisherman and enjoyed making his own lures, squirrel hunting, and horse racing. He lived most of his lifetime in Panola County and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Becky Nunley Scott; and his son, Brandon Lewis Scott.
Mr. Scott is survived by his wife, Charlotte Scott of Dotson; sons, Bryan Scott of Timpson and Brady Pittman of Lake Murvaul; daughters, Lisa Henson and husband Barry of White Oak, Christy Brown and husband Jerry of Henderson, Monica Vance and husband Billy of Denham Springs, LA, and Angie Pittman of Carthage; step-sons, Jeff Searcy of Timpson and Will Searcy and wife Tana of Beckville; step-daughter, Shannon Searcy of Beckville; brothers, Rodney Scott of Port Arthur and Jerry Scott of Many, LA; sisters, Carol Riley and husband Robert of Vidor, Sharon Collins and husband Olan of Corpus Christi, and Linda Conrad and husband Val of San Dia; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Tommy Park, Duke Park, Jimmy Wayne Scott, Rocky Roehl, Adrian Morales, Andreas Gonzales, and Blake Young.
