Timmy Lynn "Jack Rabbit" Harvey, 66, of the Murvaul Community in Panola County, Texas, passed away on Monday morning, December 25, 2023, in Tyler, Texas. He was born on January 23, 1957, in Carthage, Texas to Louis Bardell and Mattie Jane Armstrong Harvey. He graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1975. Mr. Harvey loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed cooking and entertaining. Mr. Harvey worked as a heavy equipment operator for Panola County. He was preceded in death by his father, Bardell Harvey and his grandparents, Dixie and Mike Armstrong, Mabell Jeffress, and Badie Harvey.

He is survived by his mother, Jane Harvey; children, Traci Harvey Smith and husband Will and Robby Harvey and wife Brook; brothers, Roger Harvey and Paul Harvey and wife Pam; grandchildren, Wyatt and Briar Smith and Addison and Kason Harvey; and nephews, Garrett Harvey and wife Kortnee and Badie Harvey and fiancé Hailey Cummings.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rick Linebarger officiating. Interment will follow in Murvaul Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Tim Julian, Mike Railey, Ross Johnson, Mike Stutes, Jaron Swonke, and Jace Swonke.

Honorary pallbearers are George Hutto and Walt Hart.
