A funeral service for Thomas Earl Ware, 78, of Lake Port, TX formerly of Carthage, TX, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Larry W. Thorn Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Holland's Quarters Cemetery near Carthage. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Ware passed away on Sunday morning, April 12, 2015, at his home in Lake Port.
Thomas Earl Ware was born on June 5, 1936, in Panola County, TX, to the late Gordon Lee and Oddie Lee Neely Ware. Mr. Ware loved spending time with his family, fishing, and playing dominoes. Mr. Ware retired from Groendyke Transport after 30 years of serving as a truck driver. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Ware was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Georgia Mae Gates Ware; eight brothers, Frankie, Raymond, A.W. Wallace, G.W. Welton, Wilton, Andrew, and Felton; three sisters, Dorothy Miller, Essie Ndokwu, and Dessie Johnson; and one granddaughter, Shueraveion Franklin.
Mr. Ware is survived by wife, Annie Jackson Ware; five daughters, Toni Ware Franklin and husband Barry, Sharla Ware Sanders, Jeanette Davis and husband Damian, Betty Jean King and Annette Ware; five sons, Jerry Jackson and wife Helen, Larry Pleasant and wife Elaine, Vern Jackson and wife Vickie, Richard Pleasant, and Edward Pleasant; two brothers, Esker Ware and wife Irene and A.D. Ware; three sisters, Esther Anderson and husband Calvin, Katie Allison, and Nona Gafford; 26 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Serving as pallbearers are the Unique Rider's Bikers Club.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Esker Ware, A.D. Ware, Bernando Franklin, Ahmod Franklin, Chris Franklin, FerDaveion Thomas, Larry Pleasant, Edward Pleasant, Jerry Jackson, Vern Jackson, Richard Pleasant, DeAundre Cooper, Larry Sanders Jr., Makkarius Franklin, Dontae King, Donny Ray King, and Damian Davis.
