Theresa Jane Deaton, 65, of Tatum, Texas passed away Friday, February 28, 2025 at her home in Tatum. Theresa Jane Holder was born November 13, 1959 in Gilmer, Texas to the late Durward and Imogene White Holder. She married Clifford James Deaton on April 12, 2008 and together they celebrated over 16 years together. Theresa worked as a hairdresser for many years and was a member of the Tatum Church of Christ. She loved working in the yard, fishing, shopping and decorating around the house. Theresa is also preceded in death by a sister, Linda Allen; brother, Larry Holder; step-daughter, Angela Bradberry; and nephews, Brandon Jones and Jason Porter.

Theresa is survived by her husband, Clifford James Deaton; son, Justin Joiner and wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Evan Malone, Audrey Joiner, Liam Joiner, Sara Digilormo; sisters, Shirley Marrible and husband James, Glenda Jones and husband J.C.; sisters-in-law, Carol Monic and husband Gary and Sue Harris and husband Jerry. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive Mrs. Deaton.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the Tatum Cemetery pavilion with Roy Fox officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers are Michael Morton, Cody Jones and Jacob Spurlock.
