Funeral services for Mr. Terry Wayne Everett, age 58 of Carthage, Texas, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. William Everett and Rev. Steve Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Bethel Cemetery near Gary. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Everett passed away on Thursday morning, December 18, 2008 in Carthage.

Terry Wayne Everett was born on April 22, 1950 in Nashville, Arkansas to Dale Ottis and Dorothy Kate Carson Everett. He graduated from Dierks High School in Dierks, Arkansas. He married Glenda Lee McGee on June 27, 1975 in Gary, Texas. Terry attended medical imaging school for two years and graduated as an x-ray tech. Mr. Everett was very active in Dixie League Baseball and was the Director of District 9. Mr. Everett lived in Carthage for the past 40 years, moving from New Hope, Arkansas. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, where he was a member of the adult co-ed Sunday School Class.

Mr. Everett is survived by his wife, Glenda Everett of Carthage; one son, Brandon Everett of Carthage; one daughter, Lara Kate Everett of Carthage; two sisters, Sherry Crisp and husband John of Carthage and Pam Kirby and husband Jerry of Dierks. Terry is also survived by his Dixie League family and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

Serving as pallbearers are Joey Blissett, Marlin Bush, Danny Milam, Jerry Dorman, Chris White, Robert Barton, and Brad Brown.

Serving as an honorary pallbearer is Gordon Tompkins.
