Ted Michael Miller, 67, of Carthage, passed away on Thursday afternoon, June 28, 2018, in Shreveport. He was born on Dec. 4, 1950, in Galveston to the late Frank Wright and Ethel Lavern Strait Miller. He attended schools in Alvin, Port Sulphur, LA, and Magnolia, Ark. Mr. Miller served his country in the U.S. Army. He married Belinda Susan Porter on Nov. 7, 1980, in Nacogdoches. He worked as a truck driver for many years. Mr. Miller enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. He enjoyed all sports, especially watching Carthage Bulldogs Football and Panola Ponies Basketball. Mr. Miller dedicated a great amount of his time volunteering at Panola Nursing Home. He moved to Carthage in 1981, from Nacogdoches and was of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents; an infant twin brother, Fred Miller; and brother, Dennis Miller.

Survivors include his wife, Belinda of Carthage; sons, Mickey Miller and wife Darlene of Poplarville, MS and Frank Miller and wife Mari of Carthage; daughters, Amber Allemang and husband Jimmy of West Lake, LA and Candice Ortiz and husband Alfonso of Overland Park, KS; brother, Richard Miller and wife Naomi of Taylor, Ark; sister, Nancy Doleski and husband Mike of Lufkin; grandchildren, Courtlynd, Kalyn, Lance, Breanne, Timmy, Christian, Adriana, and Isaac; great-grandchild, Chase; and nephews, Taylor and Morgan Buckner.

A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Richard Miller officiating. A private burial will follow at Simpson Campground Cemetery in Woden, TX. The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Taylor Buckner, Morgan Buckner, Christian Miller, Alfonso Ortiz, Frank Miller, and Mickey Miller.
