Tamara McLawhorn, 59, of Carthage, Texas, passed away Thursday morning, October 5, 2023, in Carthage. Tamara Jo McLawhorn was born in Portland, Maine on January 22, 1964, to Westland Jerome and Joan Mildred Luce Taylor. She was a 1983 graduate of Falmouth High School in Falmouth Maine. Tamara married William Timothy "Tim" McLawhorn on January 30, 2007, in Laredo, Texas. She was a truck driver and worked for Machinery Transport in Henderson, Texas. Some of the things that Tamara enjoyed the most were arts and crafts, listening to music, exploring nature, horses, spending time at the beach, and camping. Tamara was preceded in death by her sister, Theresa Taylor; infant brother, Robert Taylor; and brother-in-law, Jay Figueroa.

She is survived by her husband, Tim McLawhorn; daughter, Ashley McLawhorn; father, Westland Taylor and wife Adeline; mother, Joan Taylor; sister, Sandra Figueroa; and nieces, Amber, Gabrielle, Abigail, and Jayme.

Cremation arrangements are by Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
