Funeral services for Mrs. Sylvia Bea Sells, age 79 of Clayton, Texas, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Doc Lazarine and Rev. Doyle Rust officiating. Interment will follow in Clayton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Sells passed away on Wednesday morning, September 17, 2008 at her home in Clayton.
Sylvia Bea Robinett Sells was born on March 11, 1929 in Hugo, Oklahoma to Homer Shelton and Artie Connor Robinett. Mrs. Sells married Clyde William Sells and he preceded her in death on August 19, 1988. Mrs. Sells lived in the Clayton Community for over 63 years, moving from Clarksville, Texas. She was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church in Clayton since March of 1956. Mrs. Sells was preceded in death by one son, Johnny Sells, who passed away on March 4, 2001.
Mrs. Sells is survived by two sons, Billy Sells and wife Linda and Clyde Wayne Sells and wife Cathy; two daughters, Mary H. Sells Brown and husband Marlis and Rebecca Godwin and husband Harold all of Clayton; eleven grandchildren and their spouses; and twenty-four great-grandchildren and one spouse.
Pallbearers are Rickey Wittner, Joe Robinson, Steve Mathis, Steve Nations, Rocky Roehl, and O. B. Roberson.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Lavenda Mims and Jimmy Rushing.
