Sylvia Cotton, 90, of Beckville, TX, passed away on Sunday morning, Dec. 18, 2022, in Carthage. Sylvia Marjorie Levens was born on Sept. 21, 1932, in Slough, England to the late William Henry and Dorothy Constance Willett Levens. She married James Edward Cotton on June 10, 1970, in the Canary Islands and he preceded her in death on July 19, 2021, after 51 years together. Mrs. Cotton moved to Carthage in 1975, from the Canary Islands and was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. She was also preceded in death by son, Kenneth Edward Cotton; sister, Audrey Burbridge; and son-in-law, Lester Earl Fannin.

Mrs. Cotton is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Fannin; daughter-in-law, Joanna Cotton; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jennene Laurinec officiating. Inurnment will follow in Waldrop Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers are Earl Fannin, Aaron Mills, Justin Cotton, and Aaron Cotton.
