Syble Refay Maples Elkins, 89, of Carthage, TX, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018, in Carthage.  She was born on March 12, 1929, in James, TX, to the late Johnny and Dovie Maples. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Lee Elkins, Sr. on July 3, 1996, and granddaughter, Michelle Lampin on May 13, 1985.

Survivors are her sister, Mona Maples Clark of Marshall and her children, Willie Lee Elkins, Jr. of Corsicana, Linda Nixon of Marshall, Stephanie Lampin of Beckville, and Deborah Foster of Pinetop, AZ.

A private interment will be held at Ashland Cemetery near Harleton.
