Sue Ross, 73, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, May 31, 2023, at her home in Carthage. Tommie Sue Wills was born on June 26, 1949, in Henderson, TX to the late Willis and Charlcie Modine Armstrong Wills. She graduated from Beckville High School with the class of 1967, and attended Business College in Shreveport. Sue married Michael Reece Ross on Feb. 13, 1970, in Carthage. She worked as office H.R. manager for Pinnergy in Carthage. Sue enjoyed spending time with her family and especially loved attending her grandchildren's sporting events. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Carthage where she taught Sunday school and helped with AWANAS for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Ross; children, Karen Joines and husband Mart and Josh Ross and wife Laura; siblings, Lee Wills and wife Laura and Brenda Holland and husband Donnie; grandchildren, Christina Jones and husband Kevin, Bridget Lane and husband Will, and Cade and Kennedy Ross; and great-grandchildren, Emerson, Coleman, and Baker Lane. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends also survive.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at the First Baptist Church in Carthage with Dr. Allen Tilley and Bro. Dennis Landtroop officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Waldrop Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday at the church prior to the service.

Pallbearers are Chad Nations, Kevin Pace, Blake Ritter, Tim Casaday, Brian Murff, Jeremy Dorman, Gene Giles, and George Fletcher.

Honorary pallbearers are Carthage Bulldogs: Jett Surratt, Maddox Martinez, Carson Crawford, Brooks Soape, and Cale Preston.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
