Funeral services for Mrs. Sue Ann Pruitt, age 53, of Carthage, Texas, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2009, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Derrick Holmes officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Frankston City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Pruitt passed away on Saturday morning, December 12, 2009, in Gregg County.

Sue Ann Woodard Pruitt was born on March 30, 1956, in Munich, Germany to Troy Fay Woodard, Sr. and Alta Marie Hottman Woodard. She was an LVN. She married Donnie Pruitt on May 17, 1980, in Beckville, Texas. Sue loved playing games. Everybody that knew her, loved her, and she trusted everybody. She was a people person and even after her illness, she reached out to others via the internet. Sue loved life. She moved to Carthage in 1965, from Nellingen, Germany. Sue was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Daniel J. Woodard.

Mrs. Pruitt is survived by her husband, Donnie Pruitt of Carthage; three daughters, Pamela Sue Sprey and husband Andrew of Carthage, Dana Marie Pruitt of Carthage, and Stacie Nicole Jones of Big Sandy; one brother, Troy Woodard and wife Sharon of Carthage; two sisters, Morie Roberts and husband Roy of Homosassa Springs, Florida and Cheryl Woodard and husband Roger McMillan of Tatum; and five grandchildren, Daniel Cole, Jr., Dontae Anthony, Savannah Cole, Haley Jones, and Christopher Berkshire. Mrs. Pruitt is also survived by her special friends, Angel, Darlene, Reba, Clova, Cheryl, and Shiela.

Serving as pallbearers are Ira Joe Langley, Charlie Townsend, Anastacio Alonso, Roger McMillan, and Tony Allen.
