Sue Oliphant, 95, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Thursday morning, Oct. 29, 2020, at her home. Allie Sue Miller was born on Oct. 5, 1925, in Panola County, TX to the late Joe Henderson and Clara Esther Whitaker Miller. She graduated from Ft. Worth Polytechnic High School and attended Texas Wesleyan University. Mrs. Oliphant worked for many years as a lease rental analyst in the oil and gas industry. She moved back to Panola County in 1989, from Houston. Sue enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren. Mrs. Oliphant was a member of Central Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Fred Wallace Miller; and daughter, Sandra S. Oliphant.

Survivors are her son, David M. Oliphant and wife Kristi of Westminster, CO; daughter, Jo Ann Oliphant of Carthage; grandchildren, Laura Ruch and husband Ryan and Amy Lyon all of Denver; and great-grandchildren, Raegan, Braxton, and Brayden Ruch and Rylie and Jordan Lyon. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive Mrs. Oliphant.

A special thanks to Rena Horton, Fay Boyd, Vickie Ingram, Tory Yule, Jana McDaniel, and Bobbie Helton for the loving care provided to our loved one.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Gwinn officiating. Interment will follow in Rehobeth Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-6 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Robert Earl Smith, Lynn Stanley, Stephen George, Jim Milstead, Bob Speegle, and Kevin Smith.

Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Hanszen, Jim Huff, Larry Hunt, and Denny Mack Jernigan.
