Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home announces a Celebration of Life for Ms. Sue Soape Brown at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2013 to be held at Woodland Heights Baptist Church, in Bedford, TX. A graveside service will be held at 4:30 p.m. at Antioch Cemetery in Panola County. The family will receive friends at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville, TX on Sunday, June 16, from 3-5 p.m. Local arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Ms. Brown passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013 at the age of 81 years.

Sue Soape Brown was born on May 10, 1932 in Carthage, TX to Jack and Rosa Soape. After graduating from high school, she attended college and received her Bachelor's degree in Education. Ms. Brown was a teacher for 36 years, with many of those years spent in the HEB (Hurst Euless Bedford) school district. Sue was an active and long-time member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church, where she loved to worship and spend time with her church family. Ms. Brown is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Jean Soape; and one brother, Charles Soape.

Ms. Brown is survived by two sons, Michael Brown and Partick Brown and his wife Melissa; one step-daughter, Erin Townsley; and one sister, Mildred McMichael. Many extended family and friends also survive Ms. Brown.
