Stewart Green, 82, of DeBerry, Texas, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, January 26, 2022, in Tyler, Texas. Stewart Keith Green was born on May 7, 1939, in Jackson, Michigan to the late Milton N. and Ortha L. Stewart Green. He graduated from Jackson High School with the class of 1956.  Stewart served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1960, at which time he was honorably discharged.  He moved to DeBerry in the late 1980's from the Bossier City/Shreveport, Louisiana area where he was a member of the Caddo Masonic Lodge #179.  Stewart married Gloria Philip on February 28, 1995, in Montego Bay, Jamaica.  He was a Notary Public for the state of Texas and enjoyed a career as a truck driver, flying pipeline and as a corporate pilot.  His true passion was flying and he was proud to be certified as a flight instructor, an airline transport pilot with commercial privileges and a Forest Service pilot detecting wild fires. He enjoyed traveling across the country in his motorhome, chasing 75 degrees and sunny weather, spending summers in Colorado and winters in South Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Philip-Green; children, Rebecca Henry and husband Timothy, Erin Turner and husband Ray, Brandy Philip-Ellis and husband H. Mark, and Brad Philip and wife Lisa; and grandchildren, Skylar Henry, Xander Turner, Odin Turner, Ember Turner, Vega Ellis, and Reed Philip.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eric Wilburn officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the service.
