Obituary

Stephen Wayne Davis, 55, of Flint, TX, passed away on Sunday night, Aug. 8, 2021, in Luling, LA. He was born on July 23, 1966, in Ft. Worth, TX to George William Davis, Jr. and Barbara Jean Culver Davis. Mr. Davis worked for many years as a pipeline inspector. He enjoyed having a project going at all times including building engines for cars and trucks, building model cars and airplanes, and taxidermy. He also loved cooking, listening to rock music, and hunting and fishing. Mr. Davis moved to Flint from Odessa in 2016, and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother, Barbara Davis of Arlington; children, Jeremy Davis and wife Courtney, Hillary Davis Hasty and husband Jerry Hasty, Jr. of Shreveport, Bryan Davis and wife Ashley of Whitehouse, Kara Davis of Carthage, Brannon Davis and wife Caroline of North Carolina, Mya Davis of Carthage, and Sterling Davis of Flint; brother, George W. "Butch" Davis, III and wife Cindy of Eupora, MS; sister, Lori "Kip" Washington of Arlington; and grandchildren, Aubrie, Blake, Dawson, Knox, Elena, Alice, Koby, and Aniston.

A graveside service will be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 15, 2021, at Friendship Cemetery with Bro. Bob Scott officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:30 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Darren Dannehl, Jerry Hasty, Shiloh Solis, and Shawn Davis.
