IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shirley Lynch
Lambert
January 2, 1935 – June 22, 2024
Shirley Lynch Lambert, 89, of the Shiloh Community, passed away on Saturday night, June 22, 2024, at her home in Shiloh in the arms of her daughter, Cheri. Shirley was born on January 2, 1935, in Shreveport, LA to the late Paul Travis and Edna Clara O'Neal Lynch. She graduated from Longstreet High School with the class of 1953, where she made lifelong friendships. Shirley married Floyd E. "Frenchie" Lambert on July 1, 1955, in Shreveport. Frenchie preceded her in death on November 13, 2004, after 49 years of marriage. In 1963, Shirley and Frenchie moved from Shreveport to the Shiloh Community to raise their two children and welcomed Frenchie's youngest siblings, raising them as their own.
Shirley genuinely loved people and everyone who knew her felt her warmth. She loved to fish with Marthe, cook with her sisters and cut up with friends and family. Shirley was also preceded in death by her son, Michael Travis Lambert and her three siblings, Minnie Lou Bagley, Geraldine Wilkerson, and Steve Lynch.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Cheri Lambert and the "bonus" children she loved-Gerald Lambert, Robert Lambert, Debra Hull, and Kathy Dupree. Shirley dearly loved all her nieces and nephews, showing unapologetic favoritism to Carter and Peyton Duran.
Special thanks to Shirley's home caregiver team, Karen Garcia Esparza, Terri Sparks, Alexia King, Kim Ungerer and the entire staff of LifePath Hospice Care Services. Many thanks to Dr. Dan Moller, Dr. Scott McRight, and RN's Kristin Vincent and Jackie Jansen.
