Shawn Thomas Zaremski, 40, of Frisco, Texas, joined his Heavenly Father in eternal peace in Dallas, Texas, on February 7, 2013. Shawn was born in Brooklyn, New York, on November 29, 1972. He spent his childhood years in Canarsie (Brooklyn) and resided in Boca Raton, Florida, before moving to Frisco, Texas, in 2006 with his beloved wife, Laura. Shawn and Laura met in 2003 and were married in September 2009. They would have celebrated 10 years together this April. Together they built a life in Frisco where Shawn was a devoted husband to Laura and father to Gia Bella (2) who was truly the light of his life. The family attended St. Philips Episcopal Church in Frisco. Shawn was the owner of a successful business where he touched the lives of those he met through his compassion and generosity. His legacy will live through his daughter and all the people who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 14, 2013, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the English Brothers Funeral Home, 2203 Avenue Z, Brooklyn, New York, 11235. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2013, at St. Marks Roman Catholic Church in Brooklyn. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn.
Shawn is survived by wife, Laura Zaremski, and daughter, Gia Bella Zaremski, of Frisco, Texas. Shawn is also survived by his father, John Zaremski, of South Amboy, New Jersey; sister, Dawnmarie Dunne, and husband, John, of South Amboy, New Jersey; sister, Dina Paul Mitchell, and husband, Troy, of Wantagh, New York; sister, Stephanie Pivarnik, and husband, Stephen, of McKinney, Texas; and brother, Steven Zaremski, of Flushing, New York. Shawn was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine Zaremski, and brother-in-law, Jeff Paul. Surviving nieces and nephews include Justin, Deanna and Nicolette Dunne; Alexa, Kristin and Samantha Paul; Christian and Joseph Pivarnik; Tori and Carli Zaremski; Renee, Warren and Rachel Anderson; and Anna and Will Tutton. Mr. Zaremski is also survived by father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Elizabeth Anderson, of Carthage, Texas; brother-in-law, William Anderson, and wife, Allison, of The Woodlands, Texas; sister-in-law, Lee Ann Tutton, and husband, Nicholas, of London, England.
Honorary pallbearers are Fred Antonelli, Joseph Antonelli, Nicholas Antonelli, Ronald Antonelli, Brian Matney, Ernest Umeh, Robert Wilson, and Jiang Yu.
Funeral arrangements are being made jointly through Shawn's godfather, Bill Tari, of the Hall-Tari Funeral Home of Stamford, New York, and the English Brothers Funeral Home of Brooklyn.
