Obituary
Funeral services for Mrs. Sharon R. Morris, age 50 of Beckville, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 11, 2006 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Lynn Ogden and Brother Dale Reed officiating. Entombment will follow at Restland Memorial Park Mausoleum near Carthage. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Morris passed away on Friday, December 8, 2006 in Longview, Texas.
Sharon Renae Waits Morris was born on March 30, 1956 in Longview, Texas to Elroy and Lucille Baxter Waits. Sharon graduated from Carthage High School in 1974. She attended Panola College and also the Cosmetology school at Panola. Sharon married Jon Patrick Morris on April 5, 1977 in Carthage, Texas. Mrs. Morris owned the former Beckville Flower Shop and had worked for many years at Carthage Flower Shop in Carthage. She worked at Texas Eastman for over eighteen years and was currently a supervisor. Mrs. Morris had lived in Beckville for the past thirty years moving from Carthage. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Beckville. Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son in 1975.
Mrs. Morris is survived by her husband Jon P. Morris of Beckville; one son, Cory Morris and wife Loriann of Beckville; one daughter, Kasie Morris Wellborn and husband Eujene of Beckville; three step-children, Jon P. Morris, Jr. and wife Roseann of Fairplay, Tisha Wilson and husband Michael of Plano, and Guy Lane Morris of Plano; three brothers, Roy Lee Waits and wife Gail of Carthage, Allen Waits and wife Mary of Longview, and John Taylor of Carthage; three sisters, Susie Ingalls and husband Doug of Hallsville, Janice Dixon and husband Frank of Carthage, and Walta Nell Taylor of Carthage; ten grandchildren, Zakare, Kalie, Tristan, Cassie, Alec, Ryan, Kiyah, Madi, Mitchel, and Avery.
Serving as pallbearers are Chad Courtney, Frank Allums, Frank Dixon, Karlos Courtney, Mark Gary, Mark Haynie, Justin Yates, and Landon Dixon.
