Scott Collins, 58, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Tuesday morning, December 14, 2021, at his home in Carthage. Scott Gale Collins was born on August 14, 1963, in Jackson, Michigan to Ted Lee Collins and Judy Jacokes Collins. He graduated from Franklin High School in Livonia, Michigan with the class of 1981. Scott worked in the construction and pipeline industry for many years and was presently employed as a superintendent with Nontypical Pipeline. Scott loved woodworking, fishing, and hunting. He was also fond of old tractors and was a member of Flywheeler's Antique Tractor Club. Most enjoyable to Scott was spending time with his grandchildren and telling corny jokes. He married Diana West Miller on June 22, 1996, in Gaylord, Michigan. In 2007, he moved to Carthage from Gaylord. He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Jacokes and daughter, Briana Kurpaska.

Scott is survived by his father, Ted Collins and wife Darlene of Terre Haute, Indiana; wife, Diana Collins of Carthage; children, Bob Miller and wife Brandy of Michigan, Rachel Pinson and husband Brandon of Carthage, Bruce Collins and wife Rachel of Michigan, Cody Sober and Tessa of Dallas, and Michelle Norris and husband Heath of Houston; brother, Ted Collins, II and wife Lori of Lantana, Texas; grandchildren, Samantha, Bobby, Ethan, Ryan, Hunter, Emmet, and John; and great-grandchildren, Ashley and Cooper.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021, at the Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park in Carthage. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 17, at the funeral home.

Diana and family would like to extend an invitation for everyone to come to her home after the service for food and refreshments.  The address is 306 CR 490 (Wildwood), in Carthage.

Pallbearers are Bob Miller, Brandon Pinson, Ethan Hart, Bruce Collins, Dustin Windham, David Martin, Shae Mannor, and Cody Sober.
