Ruth (Me-Me) Holamon left her earthly home to be in her heavenly home with her precious Lord Jesus on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 14, 2010. Me-Me was born on June 30, 1918, the 9th of 11 children. She was formerly from Fort Worth, TX but had been living in Riderville with her daughter Kay Schalck for the past 7 years. We were blessed to have Me-Me in all of our lives for 92 years.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010, at Restland Memorial Park near Carthage with Rev. Wilma Adrian and Pastor Arnold Shrewsbury officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12 Noon on Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Me-Me was preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Essie M. Hamm; her beloved husband of 33 years, Wayne Holamon; four sisters; and five brothers.

She is survived by two daughters, Kay Schalck of the Riderville Community and Judy Gatlin and husband Robert of Burnet, TX; four grandsons, David Bullock, Chip Bullock and wife Rachel, Brad Gatlin and wife Donna of Liberty City, TX, and Bobby Gatlin and wife Joy of Allen, TX; three granddaughters, Gaynell Bullock of Maryland, Felicia Gatlin and husband Jeff, and Leah Caffey and husband Dwight; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Louise Brown of Hamilton, OH.

Me-Me was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Carthage and loved her Lord supremely. She always put others before herself and loved to cook for anyone who came to visit. She will be loved and remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.

The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the staff of Heart's Way Hospice for the loving care given to Me-Me and to her two earth angels, Diane Cole and Rhonda Freeman.
