Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Lee Allums Worthington, 98, of Ashland, Oregon will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2006 at the Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Scott Stewart officiating. Burial will be at Rehobeth Cemetery beside her beloved husband of 71 years, Allan S. Worthington. Family and friends are invited to a reception at the Rehobeth United Methodist Church Family Life Center following the interment. Mrs. Worthington passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2006 in Ashland, Oregon.

Ruby Lee was born August 19, 1908 to Melinda Jane Chamness and William S. "Bill" Allums in the Mitchell Community of Panola County, Texas. She married Allan S. Worthington, also of the Mitchell Community, on November 8, 1924. She became a member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church when she was eleven years old and her devout faith sustained her to the end.

Mrs. Worthington is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Billie Raye and Kurt Uerling of Ashland, Oregon and June and Ray O'Brien of Irving, Texas; grandchildren Sherry Hamilton of Richardson, Texas and Curtis Wayne Farrar of Lewisville, Texas; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Essie Smiley of Carthage; nieces and nephews, Ruby Fay Grimes, Glenn Allums, Wayne Allums, Dorothy Worthington, Helen Tompkins, Leo Allen Pierce, all of Carthage, Dolores Harris of DeSoto, Texas, H.T. Worthington of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Roy Hockett of Hillsboro, Texas.
