Roy Curry, 76, of Beckville, TX, passed away on Monday morning, Feb. 18, 2019, at his home in Beckville. He was born on Dec. 11, 1942, in Panola County, TX to the late John D. and Hazel Mozelle Donald Curry. He married Abbie Ruth Moore on Sept. 20, 1985, in Gregg County, TX. Mr. Curry worked as a welder in a tank car shop for over 38 years before his retirement. He loved to fish, hunt, and care for all of his animals, especially his big girls, Morgan and Madison and baby girl, Lucy.

Survivors include his wife, Abbie Curry of Beckville; sons, Gary Dean Curry of Price, TX and Terry Curry of Beckville; niece, Kathy Allen and husband Tony of Tatum; nephew, Richie Curry and wife Holly of Hallsville; grandchildren, Brandi Henderson, Benjamin Nicholas, Spencer Curry, Kasey Rowe, Tony Ragabo, J.D. Curry, Daniel Tripp, Nick Rickman, and Savannah Rickman; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-nieces, cousins, and many friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 25, 2019, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dale Reed officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in the Snap Community. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Nick Rickman, Daniel Tripp, Tony Ragabo, Michael Curry, Steven Henderson, and Spencer Curry.
