Obituary

Rosella "Rosie" Langston of Odessa, TX passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in Carthage, TX, at the age of 85. Rosie was born in Anson, TX to the late John Wesley (JW) and Mabel Watts Beasley on May 22, 1937.

She graduated from Anson High School and went to Odessa College where she earned her Activity Director certification. She married the love of her life, W. A. (Bill) Langston on March 31, 1956, and was married for 45 years until his passing. She was a 50-year survivor of breast cancer. She was the Activity Director at Avalon Place formerly known as Four Seasons Nursing Home and retired after twenty-five years in 2003. She was a member of the Social Order of the Beauceant. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Rosie is survived by her son, Bobby (Doronna) Langston of Odessa, Tx; daughter, Tandra (Alberto) Garza of Bossier City, La; sister, Pat Rice of Abilene, Tx. Grandchildren, Jerrod (Kendra) Langston of Odessa, Tx; Amanda Langston of Lewistown, Pa; Jenifer (Robert) Tucker of Amarillo, Tx; Warren (Mallory) Pomeroy of Odessa, Tx; Cody (Sabra) Bulgier of Midland, Tx, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by husband, W. A. Langston, parents, J. W. and Mabel Beasley, granddaughter, Cimmaron Bulgier, Son-in-Law Lance Pomeroy, sisters Gerry Rankin and Doris Marie Beasley.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2023, from 5pm-7pm at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Services will be held Monday, January 9, 2023, at 2pm at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors, graveside will follow shortly after at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Honorary pallbearers are Amanda Langston and Jenifer and Robert Tucker. Pallbearers are Cody Anders, Cody Bulgier, Jerrod Langston, and Warren Pomeroy.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes you would consider making a memorial donation in Rosie's honor to the Alzheimer's Association (act.alz.org), American Cancer Society (cancer.org), or Briarcliff Skilled Nursing Center Memory Care Unit.

The family of Rosie Langston wishes to give their sincerest gratitude towards the staff of the Briarcliff Skilled Nursing Center Memory Care Unit in Carthage.
