Ronnie Brown, 72, of Carthage, Texas, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, March 4, 2025, in Jacksonville, Texas. He was born on December 29, 1952, in Carthage to the late Newell and Mauline Brown. Ronnie graduated from Turner High School in Carthage with the class of 1971. He worked for many years at Carthage Healthcare. Ronnie enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, and spending time with family. He lived his lifetime in Carthage and was of the Baptist faith. Ronnie was also preceded in death by his brother, Jesse N. Brown.

He is survived by his daughter, CoTina VanLove Dotrey; siblings, Monnie Smith, Mary Roberts, and Janet Roberts; and grandsons, DeMontre Allison and Darron Dotrey. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Hubert Owens officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
