Graveside services for Mr. Ron Whitecotton, age 66 of Gary, Texas, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at County Line Cemetery with Bro. Pete Williams officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Whitecotton passed away on Saturday morning, May 16, 2009, in Carthage.

Ronald David Whitecotton was born on September 5, 1942, in Monroe, Louisiana to R.D. and Stella Peoples Whitecotton. He worked as a supervisor for K-Mart for over 17 years. Mr. Whitecotton married Betty Louise Rawdon on September 25, 2004. He was an avid HAM radio operator. Mr. Whitecotton was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Whitecotton is survived by his wife, Betty Whitecotton of Gary; one son, Ronald David Whitecotton, III; one daughter, Dawn Whitecotton: and one grandson, Dusty Whitecotton all of West Monroe, Louisiana.
