Ronald Owen "Ron" Hooker, 91 of Houston, passed away on Monday, Aug. 2, 2021, in Austin. He was born on June 2, 1930, in Shreveport to the late Owen V. and Marie Woods Hooker. Ron was a 65-year veteran of the pipeline industry. He was preceded in death by a son, Steve Hooker.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Hooker of Houston and Gloria's daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Dean Cheney of Castroville; sons, Ron Hooker and wife Chris of Houston and Glenn Hooker and wife Brenda of Dripping Springs; and grandchildren, Emily Hooker, Jacob Hooker and wife Carlee, and Ryan Hooker.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 5, 2021, at Joaquin Cemetery in Joaquin, TX under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
