Roma Ella George Lawrence, 66, of Carthage, Texas, passed away on Saturday night, March 8, 2014, in Tyler, Texas. She was born on July 2, 1947, in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late Carl Ramon and Doris Ella Combs George. Mrs. Lawrence lived in the Carthage area for over 20 years moving from Arizona. She loved gardening and was a member of the New HopeBaptistChurch in Gary. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lawrence was also preceded in death by her daughter, Carla Billie Hackett in December of 1965.

Mrs. Lawrence is survived by her husband, Charles Lawrence of Carthage; one step-son, Jay S. Lawrence and wife Samantha of Katy; one step-daughter, Leslie S. Luna and husband Dan of Virginia Beach, VA; four step-grandchildren, Dair and Brendon Lawrence of Katy and Gabriel and Alexandria Luna of Virginia Beach.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
