Rocklan David "Rock" Addington, 55, of Carthage, TX, passed away Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018.  He was born in Shreveport, LA on Nov. 28, 1962, to the late Charles David and Cherry McBride Addington. Rock married Cindy Kay Jones in Gary, TX on Nov. 25, 1983. He was a professional painter and was a perfectionist at every job he did. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Rock attended Stillwater's Cowboy Church in Carthage. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Alan.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy of Carthage; step-mother, Cathy Addington of Lake Bistineau, LA; son, Rodney Addington and wife Andrea of New York State; daughters, Lauren Elmore and husband Isaac of Fredericksburg, VA, Brittany Addington of College Station and Haley Addington of Carthage. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survive.

A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home chapel with Mark Elmore officiating.
