Robin Smith, 57, of Carthage, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, April 21, 2024, in Carthage. Robin LeAnne Etheredge was born on May 17, 1966, in Orange, Texas to Bobby Ray Etheredge, Sr. and Loretta Hodges Etheredge. She graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1984. Robin married Terry Lynn Smith, the love of her life, on October 17, 1982. They shared 41 years of a beautiful marriage that you can only hope to have. She was loved fiercely by Terry, her daughters, and grands. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and loved her Lord and Savior. She was the light that lit up any room and walked in faith and was the perfect example of God fearing Love. Robin, affectionally known as "Gaggy" by her grands, was devoted to her family and especially enjoyed spending as much time as she could attending their activities. She was a beloved teacher's aide at Carthage Primary School where she loved and cared for each student as if they were her own. Gaggy will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Ray Etheredge, Sr.; brothers, Bobby Ray Etheredge, Jr. and Kavin Scott Etheredge; grandsons, Cohen Riley LaGrone and Khyler Kruz Saucedo; and in-laws, George and Ruth Smith.

She is survived by her mother, Loretta Etheredge; husband, Terry Smith; daughters, Brandy LaGrone and husband C.J. and Kristy Saucedo and husband Javier; grandchildren, Blayton and Bransyn LaGrone and Adrian, Julian, and Aaron Saucedo; brother, Jeff Etheredge and wife Amy; sister-in-law, Helen Smith Gibson and husband Rick; and brother-in-law, Alan Smith and wife Tracey.  Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts, and other relatives and friends also survive.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Kirby Hill and Jeff Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Blayton LaGrone, Bransyn LaGrone, Adrian Saucedo, Dalton Etheredge, Dillon Etheredge, Daxton Etheredge, Daron Dorsey, Brandon Smith, Garrett Smith, Weston Gibson, and Rance Gibson.
