Robert Lamon, 76, of Gary, TX, passed away Friday morning, Aug. 14, 2020, at his home near Gary. Robert Joseph Lamon was born on Oct. 7, 1943, in Lufkin, TX, to the late Ed Orville and Zelma Lorraine Thompson Lamon. Mr. Lamon was a retired carpenter and butcher. His wife, Leona Nadine "Mickey" Chapman Lamon, preceded him in death on May 15, 2016.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Lamon; sister, Anna Lamon; and son, Randal Lamon.

Survivors include son, Gregg Lamon and wife Katie from Friendswood; daughters, Alicia Whitten and husband Johnny and Stacy Lamon all of Lufkin; brothers, David Lamon and wife Lana of Lufkin, Johnny Lamon and wife Monica of Pasadena, and Andy Lamon of Lufkin; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
